Quite a small place, and not a lot to see, but the ride to Princes Risborough goes through some lovely countryside. Nice cafe with good prices, serving drinks and food. There's a small shop selling souvenirs, ice creams, and old books. All the staff are volunteers, and are very friendly and knowledgeable.

We went on the Santa Express - Sunday 17th Dec. What a brilliant day. All the ‘Elves’ took so much effort into making the day special for everyone onboard. The grotto was fun and the gift from Santa was surprisingly good quality. It was all finished off with hot chocolate and mince pies - loads of alternative available. Really couldn’t fault the event. Thank you Santa and all your helpers.

Although a wee bit pricey, this didn't seem to put anyone off as there were loads of people there. The gifts were well received, a doll and a farmyard set, my g.children played with these for hours on Sunday. During the inbound journey there were things to do. Pencils and paper were handed out so the children could write to santa - it was a simple tick box questionnaire. There were also some craft items for sale, wooden tree ornaments, each with a bag of stick on jewels and string. Again, my g.children loved making these. I bought 4 sets so we now have a couple on our tree and a couple went home for their tree. This was their first ever experience of riding on a train of any description and they weren't disappointed

I treated both my sons, their families including three young grandsons, to the Santa Steam Special. A truly magical experience for the little boys. The trip included elves on board the train who entertained us throughout the journey. The Santa's Grotto at the end of the trip, was well thought out, creating an atmosphere of expectation. Santa himself was perfect, engaging and chatting with each little person in turn, before giving them a pretty decent present. Mince pies and mulled wine at the end for the adults. What's not to like....?!

What a friendly bunch the volunteers are here, bought the driver, signal, shunting duties experience for my wife and she really enjoyed it. Thanks for making it a great afternoon.

We went on the Santa train as a treat for this kids. It was a lovely family trip with plenty of fun activities and entertainment provided by lovely volunteers. Reasonably priced snacks, good toilets/baby change facilities and the gift shop was really sweet with a kind and knowledgeable manager. Thank you :)

Went on the Santa express, nice bunch of volunteers but it was poorly organised, tea and mince pies were rubbish, the "Santa grotto" was definitely not great and overall poor value for money when an adult ticket is £25 and it was a 40minute drive for us to get there! Will go elsewhere next year.

A great team of enthusiastic people keeping the steam train alive and working in this small part of Oxfordshire. it's worth a visit if you are in the area and then lunch in the local pub. We went to the Crown for a great meal.
